Terms of Service
1. Overview
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of open-book.us (the "Platform"), operated by RMN Endeavors LLC ("Company", "we", "us", or "our").
By creating an account or purchasing access, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Description of Services
OpenBook is an online academic assessment platform that enables instructors to create and administer assessments and enables students to access and complete those assessments.
The Platform provides digital educational services only. No physical goods are sold.
3. Accounts
Users must provide accurate information when creating an account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
4. Payments
Payment Processing
All payments are securely processed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor.
OpenBook does not store full credit card numbers.
By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Pricing
All prices are displayed prior to purchase.
We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time, but changes will not affect purchases already completed.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are offered on a per-course, per-semester basis.
If you purchase a subscription:
- You will receive access to the open-book.us platform and the content associated with the course for the duration of the applicable semester.
- Subscriptions do not automatically renew.
- Access begins immediately upon successful payment.
5. Refund Policy
You may request a refund within 7 days of purchase, provided that the service has not been substantially used.
"Substantial use" includes, but is not limited to:
- Completing graded assessments,
- Accessing a significant portion of course content, or
- Using the platform beyond introductory access.
Refund requests must be submitted to:
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
After 7 days from purchase, or if the service has been substantially used, refunds will not be provided.
We reserve the right to deny refund requests that fall outside this policy.
6. Disputes
If you believe a charge was made in error, you agree to contact us first at opnbk365@gmail.com.
We will make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes promptly.
7. Acceptable Use
Users may not:
- Attempt to access accounts without authorization
- Interfere with platform security
- Use the platform for unlawful purposes
- Upload malicious content
Accounts violating these rules may be suspended or terminated.
8. Intellectual Property
All platform software, content, and branding are owned by RMN Endeavors LLC.
Users retain ownership of content they upload but grant us a limited license to host and display it solely for operation of the Platform.
9. Service Availability
We strive to maintain reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RMN Endeavors LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Platform.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States.
